Account Executive

General Description of Position

  • Responsible for achieving assigned sales goals through successful new business development

Minimum Qualifications
SKILLS/KNOWLEGE

  • Able to navigate through internal and external computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel, and have proficient PC keyboarding skills
  • Able to use acquired knowledge and willing to learn new skills

Education/Certification/Licensure

  • Associate degree or equivalent in specialized business training
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance in accordance with UHA required minimums
  • State of Hawaii Life and Health Insurance license required within 3 months of hire

Experience

  • Two years of recent applicable sales experience
  • Healthcare, human resources, or teaching experience a plus

Account Representative Supervisor

General Description of Position

  • Supervise the Field Account Representative and In-House Representative functions
  • Ensure workflow standards are being met
  • Train and supervise a staff of four to six employees
  • Provide and maintain high level of customer service

Minimum Qualifications
SKILLS/KNOWLEGE

  • Extensive knowledge of billing reconciliation, QNXT and MAS200
  • Able to navigate through internal and external computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel, and have proficient PC keyboarding skills
  • Able to use acquired knowledge and willing to learn new skills
  • Understand the full scope of the entire premium billing and employer contracts process in order to make sound judgment when interacting with the internal staff, management, and other departments as well as outside contacts such as the members, group administrators or authorized contact persons, and brokers
  • Understand accounting and systems in a professional environment
  • Able to manage and review the work of associates
  • Able to work as a contributing Team Member towards achieving management’s stated goals

Education/Certification/Licensure

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent specialized business school training
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance in accordance with UHA required minimums
  • HIPAA Privacy and Security
  • URAC Standards as applicable to Job

Experience

  • Two years work experience in enrollment, billing, customer service or claims processing functions, preferably in the medical insurance business
