UHA EXPANDS ONLINE SERVICES FOR EMPLOYERS AND PROVIDERS
(HONOLULU, July 7, 2009)—UHA, Hawaii’s third-largest commercial health insurer, has launched two new online services: online enrollment for its employer groups and claim status verification for providers of services to UHA members.
UHA began offering online enrollment to its employer groups in April 2009. The user-friendly program features secured access and eliminates the problem of lost or incomplete forms. To ensure a smooth rollout, the program is being phased in beginning with employer groups of 50 or more employees.
UHA providers may now easily check the status of their claims via Online Provider Services. The time-saving and secure program also includes simplified member eligibility verification.
Both programs have been well received and are part of UHA’s efforts to reduce paper while simplifying the enrollment and claims reimbursement processes.
Founded in 1996 by a group of physician teachers at the University of Hawaii, John A Burns School of Medicine, UHA provides medical, drug, and vision plans to Hawaii employer groups.
