Here at UHA, spring is off to a great start for the second quarter of 2018! I'd like to take a moment to recap some of the highlights we've had in the first quarter of the year.

Last month, a team of our associates got up bright and early to participate in the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Tour de Cure. We had a great time getting in some time for physical activity while supporting the ADA in their fight against diabetes and its burdens.

UHA is all about workplace wellness and we’re proud to have had the honor of being presenting sponsor of the 14th Annual Hawaii Business Best Places to Work celebration that happened March 29. It was a night to honor Hawaii’s top employers. Congratulations to all the honorees recognized. And a special congratulations goes out to Bowers + Kubota Consulting, City Mill Co., Ltd., Pacific Administrators, Atlas Insurance Agency, Inc. and Servco Pacific, Inc. for being recognized in the Best Places to Work in Hawai’i – Hall of Fame!

Finally, this past Saturday we had a team of associates participate in the 48th Annual March of Dimes March for Babies Walk. The weather was great and of course the fried rice and goody bags at the end of the walk were terrific as always!

We encourage a culture of wellness and community service among our associates and are proud to have sponsored these events! Mahalo to our associates for volunteering their time to participate in these community events that provide activities promoting better health for a better life! Likewise I encourage all our members and employers to register for our upcoming events and get engaged with their own health and organizational well-being.
