Dr. Kathleen Kozak Joins UHA as Medical Director
Honolulu, HI (March 16, 2017) – Kathleen Kozak, M.D. has joined UHA as a part-time medical director, while continuing her practice as an internal medicine physician at Straub Clinic and Hospital.
As a UHA medical director, she will assist UHA members with access to quality health care services and work to ensure that these services are provided appropriately and consistently. She will serve on UHA’s Physician Advisory Panel as well as working closely with UHA providers and our in-house care management nurses.
Dr. Kozak is a highly regarded medical expert. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the Academy of Integrated Health and Medicine. Since 2010, she has also served as host of “The Body Show” on Hawaii Public Radio.
A specialist in travel medicine and preventive and women’s health and wellness, Dr. Kozak has volunteered in clinics across the developing Asia-Pacific region, as well as in South America and Africa. She also serves as a mentor for the Straub Foundation/Hawaii Pacific Health Foundation Summer Student Research Scholars.
The Kahala resident received her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania (now called the Drexel University College of Medicine) and did her residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Minnesota. She also received a Master of Business Administration in health care administration from the University of Phoenix.
