Aloha kakou,

As a health insurer founded by local physician educators from the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine, our kuleana is to provide high-quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people. To that end, we’ve made the single largest gift in Kapi‘olani Radiothon history, donating $250,000 to the creation of a modern cancer and infusion center that will serve Hawai‘i’s women and children for years to come.

We also remain committed to simplifying healthcare for our employer groups and members. In 2023, we extended our business hours to offer more opportunities for assistance. And to ease the burden of annual prescription drug data collection (RxDC) reporting, we gathered the necessary information and handled submissions on behalf of our employer groups.

Our fiduciary responsibility is paramount. As careful stewards of your healthcare dollars, we’re pleased to report that 92% of every dollar goes directly to benefit our members, with less than 7% allocated to administrative costs.

At UHA, we deeply appreciate your continued trust and partnership. Your feedback is invaluable to us so that we may continue to improve and grow. We invite you to review the strides we’ve made together in our 2023 Annual Report Card.
