UHA Stands with Maui and Hawaii Island: A Message to Our Impacted ʻOhana

UHA Health Insurance joins all of Hawai‘i in sadness over the catastrophic wildfires on Maui and the Big Island, and the loss of life on Maui. So many in our community are forever changed, and the loss of life is heart-wrenching.

UHA is working to minimize any healthcare disruptions to our members on Maui by taking a number of steps to ensure that they have access to care including:

• Taking action to ensure our members get their medical needs met including access to their medications
• Allowing early refills for maintenance medications
• Mobilizing our care specialists – our registered nurses and healthcare navigator – to connect with our most vulnerable members
• Collaborating with provider-partners to ensure proper coordination of care
