Billing Representative I

Department: Employer Services     Work: Full-Time

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

  • Entering of daily cash receipts
  • Maintaining employer group & COBRA cash receipts supporting documents
  • Provide customer service support in resolving billing questions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Knowledge

  • Able to navigate through internal and external computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel, and have proficient PC keyboarding skills
  • Able to use acquired skills & knowledge and willingness to learn new skills
  • Familiar with computerized accounting systems
  • Able to use ten-key machine and typewriter by touch
  • General accounting and bookkeeping experience required
  • Able to calculate discounts, extensions, additions, ratios and allocations
  • Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in reviewing vendor invoices
  • Able to work as a contributing team member towards achieving the stated goals of management

Education/Certification/Licensure

  • High School degree diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred

Experience

  • One year of work experience in accounting required

Claim Services Supervisor

Department: Claim Services     Work: Full-Time

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of the Claims Services department primarily focusing on the following:

  • Planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluating staffing requirements
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate the Claims Services Associates performance
  • Monitoring claims inventory and monitoring compliance with the established performance standards for claims turnaround and payment accuracy
  • Training staff, compiling daily work flow reports, tracking claims inventory, system tests, and processing complex and special handle claims
  • Serves as the backup to the Claim Services Manager in his/her absence

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Knowledge

  • Able to interpret group benefit plan coverages
  • Proficient in medical terminology, medical billing and medical coding
  • Able to analyze and calculate Coordination of Benefits information
  • Thorough knowledge of the medical claims and drug claims processing software applications
  • Able to work as a contributing team member towards achieving managements stated goals

Education/Certification/Licensure

  • Associate degree from an accredited university, two years college level, or specialized business school training
  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder) required
    New Hires are allowed six to twelve months from date of hire to acquire Medical Coding Certification.

Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of work experience associated with medical claims filing or processing, includes 2 year supervisory equivalent experience

Contracting Services Manager

Contracting Services Manager

Department: Contracting Services      Work: Full-Time

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

  • Communication and collaboration with participating providers
  • Manage contracts with physicians, hospitals and allied healthcare providers
  • Maintain accessibility healthcare services to UHA members and monitor quality of UHA’s provider network
  • Manage, in conjunction with Health Care Services Department, the company’s claims auditing programs
  • Manage the daily operations of the Contracting Services Department, including department budget, staffing levels, staff development, and productivity goals
  • Attain goals identified in the annual business plan

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Knowledge

  • Able to navigate through internal and external computer systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, and have proficient PC keyboarding skills

HCS Administrative Assistant

Administrative Assistant

Department: Health Care Services      Work: Full-Time

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

  • Provide administrative support to the Health Care Services department
  • Assist the Health Care Services Supervisor, Director of Health Care Services Operations, Medical Director and the Chief Medical Officer with administrative support
  • Maintain department policy and procedure manual

Network Administrator

Department: Information Services      Work: Full-Time

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate availability, response times and security (collectively referred to as service levels) for all network, computer and telephony systems (collectively referred to as UHA systems) used by UHA associates, partners and customers
    • For in-house systems, responsible for the acquisition, upgrade and maintenance of all hardware and software required to achieve appropriate service levels
    • For externally provided systems, responsible for monitoring and proactively working with the external service provider to ensure continual achievement of appropriate service levels
  • Responsible for securing user access to all UHA systems
  • Responsible for the development, upgrade and maintenance of all network and computer system applications and/or interfaces
  • Work with department managers to develop, program and run reports as required or authorized by company policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Knowledge

  • Knowledge and experience with:
    • Server operating systems and applications such as UNIX/LINUX, Windows Server 2008/2012, Active Directory and Microsoft SQL Server
    • Network systems such as LAN/WAN switches, routers, firewalls, forward/reverse proxies and DNS
    • End-user systems and applications such as Microsoft Office, Crystal Reports, VPN and RDP
  • Able to use acquired skills & knowledge and willingness to learn new skills
  • Knowledge and experience with project management tools and methodologies such as Microsoft Project, critical path management, resource allocation and issue logging/resolution. Able to analyze, plan, organize and implement complex projects with a minimum of supervision
  • Staff member must meet reasonable performance standards as approved by management

Education/Certification/Licensure

  • Bachelor degree in MIS or CIS from an accredited university or college.

  • Five years work experience in network and computer systems administration

This position is responsible for building leads and selling customized worksite wellness solutions, while providing worksite wellness consulting services and ongoing client training.

  • Healthcare, human resources and/or fitness background a plus
